Job Description:

Are you ready to take on a thrilling challenge and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cybersecurity at Blackstone? As the SVP Cybersecurity for APAC, you will drive technical excellence across critical areas such as security engineering, network security, identity and access management (IAM), cloud security, and application security.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you'll lead teams and initiatives to design, implement, and manage cutting-edge security solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our security practices align seamlessly with business objectives. This role demands a deep technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to innovate and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities:

As the SVP Cybersecurity for APAC, you'll be at the helm of groundbreaking security initiatives, making a tangible impact in a rapidly evolving landscape including:

  • Team Development: Build and nurture a team that stands at the forefront of cutting-edge security technologies.

  • Security Tools Deployment: Spearhead the deployment and maintenance of advanced security tools and technologies, ensuring Blackstone's infrastructure and data remain secure.

  • Network Security: Implement robust network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architectures.

  • Innovative IAM Solutions: Drive the development of sophisticated IAM solutions, encompassing privileged access management (PAM), identity provider management (IdP), and access control platforms, securing every facet of the employee lifecycle.

  • Cloud Security Leadership: Champion secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and other platforms, utilizing cloud-native tools and services to fortify workloads and data.

  • Application Security Excellence: Oversee leading-edge application security programs, including secure coding practices, SAST/DAST, and penetration testing, collaborating with development teams to strengthen our security posture.

  • Performance Metrics: Develop and deliver key metrics that showcase the strength and success of our security initiatives.

Leadership and Strategy:

Deliver visionary technical leadership and help create a culture of innovation and excellence. Develop key partnerships with business and technology stakeholders, aligning security initiatives with organizational goals. Stay at the forefront of emerging threats, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends to drive strategic, forward-thinking decisions that keep us ahead of the curve.

Qualifications & Experience:

10+ years of hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security engineering, network security, IAM, cloud security, and/or application security.

5+ years of leadership experience, managing technical teams or initiatives.

Technical Expertise:

Deep knowledge of security tools and technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and vulnerability management platforms.

Strong understanding of cloud-native security principles and tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel).

Tangible experience with IAM frameworks (e.g., OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect) and tools (e.g., Okta, CyberArk).

Experience with secure software development practices and tools (e.g., OWASP, SAST/DAST).

Soft Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative mindset with a focus on building strong relationships across teams.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security Specialty, GIAC certifications) are strongly preferred.
