Leidos is seeking a Sr. Automation Architect to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy.  Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month.  We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills:  Strong experience in Java, Selenium, BDD, cucumber, API Automation, Maven, TDD, and Mockito. Strong experience in building the Automation Testing framework for the Enterprise level complex applications.

  • Lead the development of highly innovative Software testing automation frameworks, achieved through collaboration and dialogue with other experts in the field. The candidate will continually assess advancements in technologies to gauge and recommend better solutions for the customer to improve the software developer experience and efficient delivery of software.
  • Mentor and coach technical staff, proactively shape product vision, and support multiple internal/external initiatives to achieve mission success. The candidate will have past and proven experiences as the Senior Automation validator on large, complex projects, and enterprise solutions.
  • Provide technical advice/input that impact strategic client outputs and Leidos business results.
  • Involved with end to end automation testing in Agile environment.
  • All other duties as assigned or directed

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field and 8+ years of experience in a training-related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD

*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week.

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • Expertise in using Selenium for web application and automating regression test cases (Selenium WebDriver) plus Java.
  • Strong expertise with API testing
  • Expertise in building Automation framework from scratch.
  • Strong experience developing test scripts to implement Features, Test Scenarios and Step-Definition for BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber (Gherkins format) using customized test automation framework.
  • Experience developing Selenium automation framework using Junit/TestNG frameworks and developing Maven targets to execute automation suites.
  • Experience with JAVA, JavaScript-based technologies, such as node.js, angular.js, etc.
  • Experience with automation technologies such as Jenkins, Maven, Junit, Mockito.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and Kanban Agile development process and ceremonies including scrums, planning events, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills in providing technical direction and hands-on software development to include design, development, and testing

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Proficiency in using Selenium for web application and automating regression test cases (Selenium WebDriver/Selenium Box).
  • Experience with Jenkins Auto jobs, Stash/Bitbucket
  • Experience in configuring execution of automated regressions suite using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience maintaining resources in configuration management tools, such as GitHub repository.
  • Experience with Version One management tool
  • Automation test results debugging.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
