Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and driven eCommerce Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting enterprise data to provide actionable insights that will inform and guide our eCommerce strategy and decision-making. You will work closely with business leaders to understand their objectives, transforming complex data into clear and strategic recommendations to help drive our eCommerce success.

What You Will Do:

  • Gather and analyze data from various eCommerce platforms and sources to provide comprehensive insights.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business metrics.

  • Partner with business leaders and teams to identify their data needs and deliver actionable insights to support their goals.

  • Utilize statistical methods and data mining techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in eCommerce data.

  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of eCommerce strategies and initiatives, suggesting improvements based on data analysis.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance data analysis practices.

What You Will Have:

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.

  • Business Assessment: Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.

  • Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.

  • Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

  • Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • 2 years proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on eCommerce preferred.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Considerations For Top Candidates:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and pay attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience with eCommerce tracking platforms (e.g., Google or Adobe analytics).

  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and data modeling.

  • Familiarity with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
