Senior Product Designer - Tech Development

The role will be primarily assigned to work in RMA domain, but it will be supporting other function such as OCMO and GQA.

The Records Management & Archiving (RMA) department leads a future-ready Records Management and Archiving Governance and Service Model in R&D to assure the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of the unique and proprietary evidence of our science and to demonstrate compliance with internal and external recordkeeping obligations.

The Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) is a function within R&D that supports the internal oversight of GSK’s responsibilities to protect patients. This includes the transparency and disclosure of GSK’s R&D activity, delivery of scientific publications and the compassionate use of medicines.

The Global Quality Assurance (GQA) this department is responsible for ensuring that all processes and products meet the necessary standards of quality, safety, and efficacy. They would oversee compliance with internal policies and external regulations, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

This Senior Product Designer role is part of the R&D Digital and Tech organisation that partners with the RMA function to deliver a business value through business partnering, process improvement, user research and user-centred design.

Key Requirements:

  • Collaborate with relevant business units to gather, document, and oversee the implementation of business requirements. This involves understanding the needs of each business unit, translating these needs into actionable project requirements, and ensuring that the final deliverables meet these requirements. The goal is to maximize the value of each project, aligning them with the strategic objectives of the business.

  • Orchestrate the delivery of product compliance artifacts by cooperating with internal and external stakeholders. This includes coordinating with various teams and individuals to gather necessary compliance documentation, ensuring that all products meet GSK's compliance standards.

  • Oversee the release management process across the portfolio to ensure efficiency. This involves managing the planning, scheduling, and controlling of software builds through different stages and environments, including testing and deploying software releases. The aim is to ensure that there is a structured process in place, which minimizes disruption and downtime during software releases, and maximizes efficiency.

  • Work closely with the Product Owner and other members of the product team, focusing on delivering value quickly while steering the product area towards business- and user-centered improvements. This involves regular communication and collaboration with the product team to understand the product vision, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions. The goal is to ensure that the product not only meets business needs but also provides an excellent user experience.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in working in an IT product related industry, in the areas of IT software analysis, design or delivery (both analytical and technical)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Analysis and/or user research
  • Knowledge and understanding of Computer Systems Validation regulation (CSV)
  • Strong problem solving, collaboration, communication, attention to detail and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with the Agile frameworks, working in a dynamic fast-paced and value-driven Agile DevOps Tech delivery team.
  • Experience in project management and release management processes
  • Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience of Pharmaceuticals processes and systems
  • Understanding of records management systems and requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar
