Are you curious about being part of our growth story while evolving your skills in a culture that will welcome your unique contributions? If so, let's start the conversation.
Iron Mountain is seeking a visionary Senior Architect to join our Technology Strategy team.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining our next-generation technology blueprints, bridging the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution, and driving complex cloud migrations alongside robust data pipelines.
The Technology Strategy team at Iron Mountain serves as a core engineering pillar, championing modern automation, establishing enterprise security guardrails, and mentoring technical talent to deliver scalable, resilient global systems.
In this role, you will:
Architectural Strategy & Design: Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native environments while defining architectural guardrails, best practices, and standard operating procedures for the entire engineering organization.
Cloud Migration Leadership: Drive the end-to-end strategic execution for migrating legacy corporate infrastructure and heavy business applications to modern cloud ecosystems with minimal downtime.
Data Platform Engineering: Architect distributed data pipelines, storage solutions, data lakes, and data warehouses to support large-scale analytical workloads and maximize information availability.
Automation Culture Transformation: Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and fully automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) deployment pipelines while building self-healing capabilities and disaster recovery frameworks.
Team Guidance & Mentorship: Lead cross-functional engineering teams through complex delivery phases, coach junior and mid-level developers, and translate intricate technical architectures into actionable business value for executives.
The ideal candidate will have:
3–5 years of experience leading technical teams or acting as a principal technical decision-maker within a large enterprise setting.
Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud provider platform (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) backed by relevant professional-level cloud architectures or engineering certifications.
Proven ability in leading large-scale database and application migrations, untangling ambiguous business problems into structured technical paths, and presenting tech roadmaps to corporate stakeholders.
Deep technical familiarity with enterprise DevOps and data tools, including Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks, and relational or Not Only Structured Query Language (NoSQL) databases.
