What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking a Test Engineer to join a team of Testing Engineers that will provide support for a Voice over IP (VOIP) modernization (VMOD) effort, including unified communications contact center capabilities. As the Test Engineer you will be responsible for the full development and creation of the test procedures that will ensure that the system complies with the system requirements and customer expectations.

More About the Role

The VOIP Testing Engineer will be responsible for the testing, analysis, and quality assurance of our VOIP products and services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of VOIP protocols, extensive experience in testing methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality communication solutions.

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans for VOIP systems, including call flow, call quality, and network performance.

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining the regression test suites for applications to support various testing events.

  • Conduct test cases review meetings with the team to define meaningful test cases for the backlogs.

  • Mapping tasks and tests to backlog items (requirements traceability).

  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on VOIP platforms.

  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with the development team to resolve them.

  • Analyze test results to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure VOIP systems meet business requirements and customer expectations.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for continuous testing and integration.

  • Provide technical support during VOIP deployments and troubleshoot issues as needed.

  • Supporting independent User Acceptance Testing

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in VOIP and telecommunications.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen with a DOD Secret clearance or higher

  • Voice Telecommunications backend testing experience

  • College degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business, Finance, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, technical discipline or related field (equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

  • At least five (5) years of related experience with Voice equipment such as: Avaya, Ribbon, Nortel or similar

  • Experience working with Ribbon, Avaya, Nortel and/or Cisco environments.

  • Proven experience as a VOIP Testing Engineer or in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of VOIP protocols (SIP, RTP, etc.) and related technologies.

  • Experience with VOIP testing tools and platforms (Wireshark, SIPp, JMeter, etc.).

  • Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.).

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based VOIP solutions.

  • Knowledge of network security and encryption techniques.

  • Certifications in VOIP technologies or related fields (e.g., CCNA Voice, etc.).

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
