JOB PURPOSE

In this role, you will be a key driver of the introduction and expansion of retail advertising.  This is a chance to leverage your technical background with emerging technologies to create tailored experiences that resonate with Athletes.  You will be a major force in enabling a platform that connects brands with enthusiasts, fostering a community bound by a shared love of sport.  Acts as a product-team problem solver and domain SME to design, test, and deliver best in class solutions.

As the Lead Software Engineer for the DICK’S Media Network, you will:

  • Build and enable a scalable, reliable, and effective retail media network

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, stakeholders, and other engineers

  • Drive the technical strategy of the team and be able to communicate and explain how that strategy will meet the goals of the organization

  • Leverage first-party data to drive personalized and relevant content to Athletes where they are in their journey

  • Work across many different channels including online, in-store, mobile apps, and various third-party platforms

  • Support and mentor a team of technologists in a structured and ad hoc manner

  • Deliver complex tasks to production, working independently when required

  • Take the initiative to drive new ideas and project

  • Understand the business context of the larger domain and potentially other domains

  • Have a willingness to continuously learn, experiment, and innovate

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred

  • 6-10 years of experience

  • 7-12 months experience of generalist supervision of junior colleague

Targeted Pay Range: $95,200 - $158,800. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
