Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS) such as Workday Student, Banner, or equivalent.
Experience developing reports, data loads, or training materials to support academic systems and processes.
Job Description:
The Registrar Specialist II plays a key role in managing and maintaining accurate course offerings and academic catalog information within the Student Information System (SIS) and Workday Student. This position provides expertise in curriculum processes, eligibility rules, catalog management, reporting, and system integrations, supporting enrollment management, student retention, and degree completion.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain course offerings in the SIS and ensure compliance with university policies.
- Review and approve course section requests, edits, and experimental course proposals.
- Develop and execute technical data loads to the SIS when applicable.
- Assist with instructor assignment of sections and verify instructor eligibility.
- Build and maintain complex eligibility rules for reserved seating, degree requirements, and Learning Communities.
- Create administrative courses for transfer credits and Advanced Placement.
- Collaborate with Classroom Scheduling Specialists and external E-Catalog vendors to maintain accurate course schedules and published catalogs.
- Facilitate university-wide E-Catalog editing processes, including role definitions and approval workflows.
- Maintain the Office of the Registrar website as it relates to curriculum and catalog management.
- Coordinate with ITS and Business Systems Analysts to resolve system, security, and business process issues.
- Develop and assist with reports to support SIS and enrollment management.
- Provide guidance and consulting to campus teams on curriculum processes and system changes.
- Develop training materials, communications, and presentations for end users working with courses and catalog processes.
- Present key curriculum configuration decisions and process demonstrations to stakeholders.
- Add and maintain programs of study and academic unit structures in Workday Student.
