The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Pediatric Acute Care is a newly created, decentralized clinical role located at Main Campus within the Pediatric Department and supports a highly specialized Pediatric Acute Care service. As part of a close-knit team of approximately five pediatric pharmacists, this caregiver collaborates closely with physicians, pharmacists, leadership, patients and interdisciplinary care teams in a fast-paced clinical environment. The specialist provides coverage across multiple pediatric service lines, including transplant, epilepsy, cardiology and general pediatrics, offering broad clinical exposure while deepening expertise in pediatric acute care. This high-impact role is designed to ensure continuity of coverage, eliminate service gaps and allow the pharmacist to be fully embedded within care teams to make a meaningful difference for pediatric patients and their families.
A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm with weekend rotations occurring every 8th weekend. Holiday rotations occur every 5th holiday. No on-call requirements but may float within pediatric acute care service lines.
