Are you skilled in resource scheduling and personnel management within a dynamic operational setting? If so, we invite expressions of interest for an Operations Officer role at our 24/7 Operations Centre in Fremantle, WA. This position will start on a casual basis with the potential to lead into other opportunities.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing tug bookings and changes for multiple ports and operations across WA, SA & NT, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders.

  • Scheduling crews and tugs in strict adherence to enterprise agreements and operational protocols.

  • Ensuring accurate data entry for booking information, facilitating smooth invoicing.

  • Maintaining detailed records of crew usage for payroll processing.

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for incident and injury reporting in the West region, with efficient response capabilities.

  • Providing valuable support to local management through additional duties as required.

What You Will Need To Succeed

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Experience in resource or personnel scheduling, ideally within maritime or aviation industries.

  • An understanding of how to interpret enterprise agreements and operational protocols to ensure compliance.

  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build solid relationships with stakeholders.

  • A keen eye for accuracy when managing schedules and data entry

  • Ability to quickly get up to speed with computer-based systems and processes.

  • Resilience and adaptability, able to handle routine tasks while thinking on your feet and staying calm under pressure, particularly during emergencies.

  • High levels of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to work independently.

  • Flexibility to work up to 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
