The Opportunity

The Medical Territory Manager will be responsible for covering the assigned territory of Western Canada.  In this role within Canopy Growth Corporation (Spectrum Therapeutics), you will discuss the scientific rationale and provide product information to physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop their knowledge and understanding surrounding medical cannabis as an option for their patients. This is an important role that develops patient treatment options by positioning the use of medical cannabis and Canopy Growth’s Spectrum Cannabis brand as a viable part of the health care solution.  This role will report to the Director, National Sales, must be willing to travel 60% of the time. 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and leverage analytical insight, innovative and strategic thinking to deliver value and engage healthcare professionals

  • Use educational and promotional materials in meetings with physicians and other healthcare professionals

  • Conduct presentations on therapeutic uses, side effects, features, and benefits

  • Assist in the identification of key opinion leaders (KOLs) in this new and emerging area

  • Organize and execute continuing medical education (CMEs) with key healthcare professionals

  • Develop and execute a territory business plan based on analysis of customer needs and opportunities

  • Attend sales meetings, conference calls, and training sessions with the management team

  • Ensure administrative activities are completed in a timely manner (management of CRM tools, submission of reports)

  • Gather and communicate insights from the market and the competitive landscape

  • Manage operational budgets

  • Travel as required. This may include evening and weekend travel

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Science background preferred

  • 3 – 5 years working as a Pharmaceutical Representative is ideal

  • Works well independently, can manage multiple priorities, and is solutions oriented

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Valid Driver’s License and access to vehicle for territory coverage

Other Details

This is a full-time role based out of Vancouver, BC.  Travel required.
