About the Role: 

 

At Virgin Media Television we are looking for a Digital Asset Coordinator to join our team in Operations. The Digital Assets team is a core operational team within Virgin Media Television, responsible for the editing, encoding and timely delivery of all Video on Demand content for our website and Virgin Media Player across multiple platforms.  This role involves irregular hours and weekend work. 

 

 

 Specific Duties & Tasks: 

  • Creation of assets and input of metadata into the Content Management System  

  • Monitor deliveries through various stages - from metadata creation, through to appearance on platforms – remedying issues when required and addressing issues as they occur through to resolution 

  • Develop strong relationships and liaise closely with our platform partners to address any file failures and to ensure file deliveries are complete 

  • Closely monitor VOD platforms to ensure that all content is represented accurately (imagery/categories) and address any inconsistencies 

  • Liaise closely with the Commercial Department to ensure requests from our advertising partners are dealt with in an accurate and timely fashion 

  • Monitor external customer enquiries and resolve/escalate user issues 

  • Work closely with our development team and internal tech team, logging technical issues as they arise and assisting in solutions 

  • Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders  

  • Generate creative concepts for VOD, consistent with the key messages and major initiatives set for the company 

  • Manage VOD Box Set campaigns from encoding and delivery, to presentation on the platforms and promotion on social 

  • Work closely with our Ad Operations team to deliver campaigns across multiple platforms 

  • Manage the encoding, delivery and promotion of commercially produced VOD campaigns on Virgin Media Player and platforms 

  • Manage and publish content to the Virgin Media Television website, adding new information to the site as required 

  • Media Asset Management 

  • Write concise, eye-catching, on brand and innovative copy for the B2B website 

  • The above list is not exhaustive. The Digital landscape is rapidly changing and you will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed 

 

Skills & Expertise 

  • Experience with multiplatform/VOD materials delivery 

  • Knowledge of Avid based editing systems, or similar 

  • Have at least 1 years’ editing experience 

  • Understanding of broadcast video file formats and standards 

  • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot to resolve issues and shift priorities with ease
