What You'll Do:

  • Acting as a first point of contact and setting the tone for clients by greeting them warmly, checking in and out of their appointments, and ensuring invoices and charges are correct

  • Providing exceptional service: offering a beverage, hanging up coats, coordinating other Medcan appointments

  • Processing payments for appointments and products

  • Ensuring all appropriate patient forms are completed

  • Open and closing procedures including next day preparation

  • Scheduling appointments for clients

  • Inventory of Reception supplies

  • Replenish and organize Front of House (FOH) retail inventory in customer‑facing areas.

  • Responding to all client issues and inquiries

  • Troubleshooting

  • Maintaining a good working relationship with other departments to ensure an outstanding client experience

  • Respond to staff and client inquiries via email and phone

  • Cross-cover other clinic roles on an occasional basis

What You'll Need:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, dermatology clinic experience is an asset

  • Four Star Hotel or hospitality experience is an asset

  • Ability to stand/walk for duration of shift

  • Education in health or a related discipline

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Beginner - Intermediate level skills in MS Office

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment

  • Ability to foster relationships with colleagues and patients

  • Sales experience is also an asset.

This is a full-time position currently scheduled 5 days a week between Monday to Friday and occasionally Saturday. Located at our Toronto office at 150 York St. Applicants must be available to work in-clinic between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm for an 8 hour shift.

Position Pay Range

$36,374.00 - $50,014.25 CAD annually

Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives. ​
