Tech Product Owner

We’re looking for a Product Owner to join our Cross Product Generosity team where our goal is to provide the best generosity customer experience in the industry.

What you’ll do:

The Product Owner plays a key role in our high performance product delivery teams, collaborating with colleagues in the Product and Software Engineering functions and working with stakeholders from across the global FanDuel business, including our Marketing, Casino and Sportsbook teams, in a fast paced sports tech environment. You will be responsible for eliciting requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria whilst prioritising product backlogs with the aim of streamlining the delivery of value to our customers and partners.

Additionally:

• Establish and maintain domain expertise on our promotions, generosity and rewards product-set
• Bring fresh ideas to the table when working to solve business problems, using your commercial understanding to generate innovative solutions
• Understand and balance commercial needs against technical requirements and capabilities, as well as the dependencies between technology components and how they combine to deliver solutions to the end consumer and to the business;
• Facilitate the smooth flow of value delivery, guiding partners throughout the SDLC ensuring high quality change is delivered, while ensuring stakeholders are kept informed
• Define operational readiness processes for new releases and provides product training to stakeholders;
• Play an active role within XPG’s extended delivery team across the US, UK and Romania
• Contribute toward the internal FanDuel Product and PO communities by promoting industry best practice and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-skilling

What you’ll bring:

Our next teammate might be a skilled Business Analyst already working in an agile environment, or a Product Owner comfortable getting into the details of technical delivery. It would be a bonus if you have experience of working on MarTech solutions, and know a CDP from a DMP, though league-leading analysis, collaboration and delivery skills are key.

• Experience in driving detailed requirements gathering through  stakeholder interviews,  facilitating stakeholder workshops
• Strong practical knowledge on requirements elicitation and specification techniques to support user stories definition & refinement, acceptance criteria, and definition of done processes
• Ability to constructively challenge and question as well as actively listen  
• Is expected to become a subject matter expert in their domain and have a solid understanding of company organization and performance;
• Is used to working in a fast-paced environment helping to provide clarity to delivery teams when priorities change
• Experience of Agile delivery processes used in software or web-based products and an ability to promote this culture
