About the Department

Global Private Markets Operations (GPMO) is a specialist operational partner providing expertise and support to the Private Markets asset classes and Investment teams while utilising various services from the rest of Operations. We support all alternative and real estate asset classes and adapt to differences across asset classes, clients, geographies, and systems. We work together on common initiatives, enabling us to become more scalable, efficient, and consistent globally.

About the Role

Reporting to a Real Estate Operations Senior Manager, this role is responsible for a variety of back-office and financial control support services across complex real estate funds and mandates investing on a continental European and global basis. The role holder will work closely with the Real Estate Fund Controllers and the Investment teams to achieve our goals of excellent service, scalability, efficiency, and global consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Fund Controllers to help meet key deliverables, including sending supporting documentation to service providers.

  • Provide support on AML/KYC processes.

  • Assist with funding activities, including liquidity planning, organising capital calls, and preparing board meeting documentation.

  • Engage with the Tax Structuring team in terms of funding split (equity/IC loan).

  • Prepare drawdown notices and set up payments in online banking systems.

  • Support lending bank covenant reporting and client standard/bespoke financial reporting.

  • Assist with bank account set-up and treasury sheet maintenance.

  • Prepare files summarising fund metrics (PDCT) and perform payment setup using various online banking platforms.

  • Provide audit support.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong Excel skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • A keen analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail.

  • Self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (both verbal and written).

  • A good understanding of financial reporting, with knowledge of real estate being an advantage.
