Job Description Summary

As the People Leader for Controls HMI & Networking NPI, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing engineering talent responsible for new product introduction and sustainment of Controls HMI and industrial networking solutions. Your leadership will focus on building and nurturing a high performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and execution excellence, and driving strategic product and technology initiatives aligned with Product Line priorities. You will work closely with Product Line leaders, Program Managers, and senior leadership to ensure engineering deliverables meet business, quality, and schedule objectives. This role contributes to the overall controls and networking strategy and manages complex technical, execution, and organizational challenges across NPI and sustaining programs. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers focused on Controls HMI and Networking technologies
  • Drive accountability for technical excellence, design quality, and disciplined engineering execution
  • Support talent development, performance management, and succession planning in alignment with GE Vernova values
  • Own engineering deliverables as defined by Product Line leadership across NPI and sustaining programs
  • Translate product requirements into execution plans, technical roadmaps, and resource needs
  • Ensure product designs meet functional, cybersecurity, quality, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with Program Managers to define schedules, milestones, and resource plans, manage budgets, cost targets, and scope as well as identify risks and drive mitigation actions
  • Provide clear, concise status reporting to engineering and business leadership
  • Collaborate with alliance and technology partners to ensure seamless integration and delivery of new product releases
  • Support release readiness, lifecycle management, and customer deployment needs
  • Apply Lean and GE Vernova execution principles to improve engineering processes, quality, and cycle time
  • Drive standardization and reuse where applicable across platforms and product lines
  • Be a Helpful resource to all levels of engineering team and encourage dialogue between all groups

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • At least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity
  • At least 4 years working in HMI & Networking technologies

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience leading a global team
  • Experience with Mark VIe control systems
  • Knowledge of the GE Vernova Gas Power Controls NPI processes
  • Experience with hypervisor and networking technologies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
