1 - First ShiftJob Summary
Are you the type of person who is ambitious, organized and detailed-oriented? In this role you will facilitate and monitor outbound shipments and all associated paperwork from the Global Parts Distribution Center while effectively communicating with both internal and external parties. We’re looking for someone who can multi-task, is willing to assist others while maintaining excellent communication skills, and who possesses the detail-orientation to ensure the effective distribution of Vermeer product.What You’ll Do (Essential Duties)
1. Serve as principal liaison to internal/external customers, specific to product, production, and transportation information. Collaborate with production departments to ensure product is completed/available and ready for shipment.
2. Review ready-to-ship (RTS) orders and analyze specifications to determine the most cost-efficient load plans.
3. Create Bills of Lading for outbound shipments and ensure all necessary paperwork accompanies each order. Ensure the proper billing for sales orders.
4. Provide administrative support as required by conducting various administrative functions (i.e. creating meeting agendas, travel arrangements, maintaining calendars, sorting and delivering mail; developing correspondence including, but not limited to, letters, reports, faxes, etc.).
5. Coordinate various company/department programs, schedules, and serve as the main contact for some programs.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s degree in business, management, operations, or related field with minimum two years experience in logistics.
- Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.
- Demonstration of excellent written and oral communication skills, organization skills, and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to change priorities to meet customer demand.
- Experience with a transportation management system preferred.
- Knowledge of Vermeer equipment preferred.
Travel
- Occasional travel is expected of this position.
Work Location
