The service is carried out by a skilled multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals, ensuring rapid response, individual assessment, and community-based stabilization for those undergoing a behavioral health crisis. The overarching objective is to provide relief to beneficiaries in crisis, utilizing de-escalation and stabilization techniques to minimize immediate risks and prevent subsequent harm, ultimately avoiding unnecessary emergency department care, psychiatric inpatient hospitalizations, and law enforcement involvement.
