Position Title: Transplant Coordinator - Registered Nurse
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Hours per week: 38 + On Call
Position Grade: Registered Nurse (Year 1 - 8)
Salary: $70,049.73 - $98,351.39 Base Salary Per Annum

About the role:

Come join our fantastic team in the Heart & Lung stream! Located in the heart of Sydney's CBD, our centre of cardiac and respiratory excellence services patients from across Australia and New Zealand.

With advanced nursing practices and plenty of room for growth, we are dedicated to helping you shape your career in the way you desire. We have an exciting opportunity to work across a hyper dynamic team, including surgeons' physicians and allied health specialists leading our approach to the provision of high-quality care to clients of the Heart Lung Service. This role plays a pivotal part in providing care across the Heart Lung Transplant state-wide service. Managing patients with advanced heart and lung disease, coordinating heart and lung transplants and providing long term follow up care.

You will have full On Call responsibilities and all associated administrative tasks (all training will be provided).

About you:

Are you a nurse with excellent acute nursing skills and experience in an acute hospital setting.  We're a team that's all about support and building on your strengths and if you feel the same, we are the team for you. If you have recently completed your new graduate program or you have over 8 years under your belt we’d love to hear more about you.

You'll have a Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Educator, and a team backing you up. All our teams are also fully dedicated to collaborating with you. If you are looking for a change, come and join the team in world leading heart and lung transplant centre.

Selection Criteria:

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency and hold a valid passport.

3. Minimum 12 months experience in Cardiothoracic nursing desirable.

4. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication tools

5. Demonstrated leadership ability working within the multidisciplinary team.

6. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development.

7. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.

8. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
