What the Role Entails

We are looking for a strategic, passionate, and experienced Director of HR (Americas) to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading our employee relations, learning & development, people operations, and associated core HR functions for Tencent’s growing business across the U.S., Canada, and LatAm.

What You’ll Do

1. Oversee HR functions in Americas offices, including governance models, team structures, and role definitions.

2. Oversee the local application of corporate HR policies and practices covering employee relations, training, global mobility, and work permits.

3. Supervise local HR teams and external consultants on workforce planning, headcount evaluation, and resource allocation.

4. Manage global and local HR budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.

5. Optimize HR mechanisms to align with business objectives and talent needs.

Who We Look For

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

2. Strong understanding of HR governance, policies, and compliance requirements.

3. Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

4. Experience working in multinational environments.

The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $121,400.00 to $281,500.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Employees hired for this position may be eligible for a sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Subject to the terms and conditions of the plans in effect, hired applicants are also eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan. The Employee is also eligible for up to 15 to 25 days of vacation per year (depending on the employee’s tenure), up to 13 days of holidays throughout the calendar year, and up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year. Your benefits may be adjusted to reflect your location, employment status, duration of employment with the company, and position level. Benefits may also be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
