CACI is seeking a Linux Administrator located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland supporting the C5ISR CIO HQ.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Day to-day administration and support to the C4ISR DREN Linux Systems. 
  • Managing the C5ISR Linux based DNS Server, and creating and maintaining, CentOS/Linux baseline campus wide. 
  • Collaborate with certified hackers in the conduct of network vulnerability assessments of tactical networks in the test and certification phase of development.
  • Provide management with recommendation to advance organization goals through security, system administration, and enterprise Linux deployments. 
  • Strong self-motivated work performance with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • System administrator support to other enterprise services within the network operations center including SAN, Virtualization, and Windows Servers.

More About the Role:

May require training in advance of system authorization for government systems such as HBSS/McAfee ePO, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Experience being the single POC/SME on an enterprise level technical system.
  • Required system knowledge to include the level of expertise in operating the system.  System access required prior to entering the position, if any.
  • Significant experience in the secure implementation, deployment, administration, and customer support of Redhat Enterprise Linux/CentOS in an operational environment.
  • Experience with Puppet = Command Configuration Management for Linux Spacewalk/Satellite = Graphical Web Interface Configuration Management Software.
  • Certification in accordance with the Army IA Training and Certification BBP for an IA Technical Level 2 position (Network+, A+, Security+, or CISSP).  Computing Environment Certification is required (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator or Engineer)
  • Experience with the capabilities, configuration, and deployment of multiple Linux systems within an enterprise. Significant experience with automation, analytics, queries, and log review in a Linux environment.
  • Experience installing software and their required subcomponents within a Linux operating environment.

These Skills Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Linux Administrator with the following:  

    • Experience with the secure configuration and maintenance of servers, workstations and services to applicable STIGS and Checklists.
    • Experience with Puppet and Spacewalk/Satellite Configuration Management Software desired. Experience with multiple flavors of the Linux/Unix Operating Systems. Experience with networking, the OSI Model, and TCP/IP, software applications, executables, and signatures, troubleshooting of Linux/Unix Operating Systems and subcomponents, maintaining and creating process documentation, maintaining and configuring Linux based DNS servers.
    • Desired knowledge of centralized Configuration Management and support of system hardening and other required system configurations preferably using the current supported toolsets Puppet and internally used Linux Repositories/Spacewalk/Satellite.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
