KC-46 Aerial Refueling Operating Station (AROS) IPT Senior Manager

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a KC-46 Aerial Refueling Operating Station (AROS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Senior Program Manager (Level L) for our Everett, WA location.

The KC-46 AROS IPT is responsible for the crew console, equipment and associated structures and wiring products that enable Aerial Refueling Operators to remotely configure and control the air refueling system. The AROS IPT Senior Program Manager will report to the KC-46 Remote Vision System (RVS) IPT Director and work closely with the KC-46 Vision System IPT responsible for the cameras, electronics and displays to integrate industry-leading aerial refueling capabilities.

We are seeking a program manager to stand up the AROS IPT (from existing KC-46 teams) with cross-functional responsibility for fleet sustainment, production, and development for the AROS products. Additional RVS-related related responsibilities may be assigned based on need. This position is best suited to individuals who are self-starters, highly motivated, and can work with quick decisions for the best interest of the business. The team works across numerous Boeing organizations including Boeing Commercial, Boeing Test & Evaluation, and Boeing Global Services and is ideal for leaders that enjoy working in a fast-paced multi-discipline environment.  In addition, the team works externally with key equipment suppliers and the US Air Force customer.

Position Responsibilities:

IPT Lead and program manager with responsibility for the AROS IPT:

  • Integrates with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Materials Management to ensure continued production supply for AROS IPT products
  • Identifies and mitigates parts obsolescence, including execution of any required Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) obsolescence programs
  • Coordinates with US Air Force and BGS Support & Training teams to maintain fleet supportability of AROS IPT products

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with structures, electrical design or mechanical systems engineering disciplines
  • Experience with avionics, mission systems or electronics development
  • Experience with program management best practices
  • Experience with FAA and/or Military Type Certification
  • Experience working with external customer stakeholders
  • Experience working with a supplier

Summary pay range: $180,200 - $243,800
