POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Capital Markets team, this position will support and implement Capital Markets’ product pricing process, and publish pricing/rates sheets for the various lending channels.  Additional responsibilities would include close coordination with other members of Capital Markets and the Production Channels.

    ESCRIPTION

    Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

    • Accurately and efficiently build best execution pricing and publish final rate sheets for all lending channels
    • Perform control procedures to confirm pricing is accurate, maintain control documentation, and work with audit counterparties in order to ensure the Company is in compliance with control requirements
    • Monitor live MBS pricing for material changes in the market, and re-run best execution pricing, and republish final pricing in accordance with Company policy
    • Update pricing models to incorporate assumption changes – Buyup/Buydown multiples, Mortgage Servicing Right values, Guarantee Fees, etc.
    • Assist in the development of new product pricing for the secondary market, and perform in-depth testing prior to new product deployment
    • Monitor third party loan level pricing adjustments for changes and implement updated pricing adjustments in conjunction with the product development team
    • Perform competitor price comparisons to assist senior management’s effort to identify potential pricing and revenue opportunities
    • Assist the Margin Management group in implementing new pricing strategies, and ensure they are tested and implemented accurately
    • Other duties may include assisting in processing loan data files for the Bulk bidding process, and ensuring the bids are processed and distributed timely and accurately

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
    • Two plus years experience in the mortgage industry or financial services

    Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

    • Strong verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective and professional relationships across the organization
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
    • Must be competent in standard Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint
    • SQL skills are a plus
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills

    Work Environment and Physical Requirements

    • Working on-site at assigned office location.
    • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
    • Working in a cubicle, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.
    • Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
    • Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
    • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
