The Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) program at Leidos currently has an opening for a Microsoft (MS) Power Platform Developer to support our business intelligence, file storage, and reporting needs. The position will be a remote/telework role. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in creating tools and dashboards to support a U.S. Navy program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop within the Microsoft Power Platform suite of applications (Power BI, Apps, Portal, Automate, Dataverse).
  • Design, code, and implement solutions using software engineering best practices.
  • Complete various incoming SharePoint assignments. Assess and translate requests to best optimize the user experience, troubleshoot reported issues, and maintain our MS SharePoint configuration using best practices.
  • Build useful and informative Power BI dashboards for use by stakeholders around the SMIT program, Leidos, and our government customers.
  • Develop and ensure all solutions, package components and configurations migrate properly between new/established environments.
  • Take part in data analysis, data best practices, database design, programming, and implementation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree in other disciplines.
  • 4-8 years of experience (2-6 with Masters) with designing and developing within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Apps, Portal, SharePoint, Automate, Dataverse).
  • Knowledge of Power BI dashboard development.
  • Understanding of SharePoint site collection architecture, permission management, and creating front-end SharePoint apps and web pages.
  • Working knowledge of DAX.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to determine requirements.
  • Ability to research solutions to development issues when the answer is not clear.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications     

  • Active secret clearance.
  • Knowledge of Python and R.
  • Knowledge of/background in basic statistical analysis methods.
  • Prior experience in a business systems analyst role supporting Department of Defense programs.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
