The Role:

Reporting directly to the EU CFO based in Dublin, the Senior Finance Manager will be part of the EU Finance team and will play a lead role in the oversight of key of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes as well as the management of business critical day-to-day tasks and the annual audit of the consolidated EU entity.

Managing a small team, the role will have a strong business facing presence, both with key stakeholders within the EU entity and also with the FNZ group finance team, interacting with teams across a broad spectrum, including commercial, sales, tax, treasury and AP.

Some of the key tasks which the Finance Manager will oversee include:

  • Monthly accounts process, including all revenue & cost postings and associated performance reporting including variance & KPI analysis

  • Central Bank reporting

  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts (prepared under IFRS) and management of the annual audit process

  • EU Finance lead on treasury, payroll, VAT and other tax processes, liaising with group finance colleagues to prepare timely and accurate returns and reports

  • Overall oversight of the EU ledger, including review of journal postings, reconciliations and consolidation for management accounting purposes

  • Work closely with the EU and Group FP&A teams to provide ongoing review of budget v actual performance and refresh of the forecast of the EU entity

  • Ensuring that the finance risk & control environment is managed appropriately

FNZ (Europe) DAC is a dynamic, fast paced and geographically diverse entity. The Senior Finance Manager will be at the forefront of managing the EU Finance function’s relationships with our colleagues all across Europe and the ability to communicate, partner the business and cultivate relationships within the EU entity and wider FNZ business globally will be a key component of the role.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic record, the ability to work in a fast-moving-environment and the interpersonal skill required to interact regularly as a point of contact with both internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will have a strong attention to detail and an ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise. They will also:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a number of years post-qualification and relevant industry based experience.

  • Have excellent numerical and technical ability, with an ability to interrogate large amounts of data to present coherent outputs, using financial systems and MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Have experience working within the finance function of a regulated entity with requirements to prepare and file regulatory returns.

  • Be comfortable managing and reconciling general ledgers and consolidations and have experience and technical expertise in preparing annual statutory accounts under IFRS.

  • Demonstrate experience in managing deliverables for multiple stakeholders both internally and to group finance functions.

  • Have the ability, confidence and desire to challenge and re-engineer practices and processes as required.

  • Be highly motivated with an ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate flexibility

  • Have a proven track record in working to tight timelines in a team environment.
