Job Description:

Job Summary

To process customs clearance (release) and/or confirm declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments, guided by the CCBS system and personal skills.
Clients (Internal/External): Import Operations, Support Services, Consulting, Inbound Services, Sales, etc., as well as all customs clients and partners.
Specific Output or Services:
  • Customs release and/or confirmation of declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments using the client’s profile in the CCBS system (create or modify line codes/classifications).
  • Handle delivery services and/or import permit requests when required and/or gather and submit proper documentation to government authorities.
     
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent 
Workdays: Monday to Friday (must be able to work all 5 days of the week) 
Shift Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM  PST (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week) 
Shift Duration: 8 hours per day (requires flexibility with start and finish times) 
Work Location: 7451 NELSON ROAD RICHMOND, BC V6W 1G3 Canada (REMOTE) 
Starting Pay: 17.75 per hour
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Data entry (open customer files, validate information, credit and invoicing).
  • Collect supplementary information or documentation from customers, drivers, customs, and other offices when required.
  • Identify discrepancies in customer profiles.
  • Answer standard questions and requests from customers, drivers, customs, and other offices.
  • Work as a team member with other stakeholders: clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents.
Requirements
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience.
  • High school diploma.
  • Bilingualism required – intermediate level (Quebec only).
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments.
  • Basic understanding of the HS system.
  • Basic computer skills
