About the role

Lead graphic engineer are agile, accountable role who are passionate about great packaging and delivery premium brand image, our primary role will be collaborate closely with manufacturer graphic designer and internal project team to delivery graphic and packaging design on time, cost and quality.

As lead graphic engineer, you need to creative thinking about improve efficient and accuracy of packaging graphic, leaflet, QSG and stickers to drive Dyson’s product speed to market. you will act of program manager and graphic designer in graphic & packaging team, You will lead the problem solving with manufacturers and internal team such as content, commercial, compliance, market and legal team.

Responsibilities

  • Graphic management:Accountable for graphic creation and packaging production based on the established plan by the business, drive outputs and deliverables from JDM or graphic team.
  • Graphic quality:Maintaining the quality of output artworks before release for production. Oversees the design team and ensures that all visual content aligns with the company's objectives.​
  • Printing quality:Verifying the artworks following the print specifications, compliance requirement and the established internal guidance including print production and artworks guidelines.​
  • Brand objectives: Ensuring the consistency across category of artworks and the creative intent are followed.
  • Cross-team collaboration:Provide a high-level of input to ​projects, based on the extensive level of​ experience and knowledge gained​ through the graphics and print​ industry. ​
  • ODM/JDM engagement: Provide subject matter expertise in Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Master Service Agreement (MSA) and Scope of Work (SOW) processes, facilitating informed decision- making, Developing guidelines and team coaching in ensuring high quality output.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packaging specifications, design iterations, development progress, lessons learnt and project documentation.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in packaging engineering.

About you

  • Minimum of 5 years packaging graphic development work experience with proven to ability in managing packaging graphic development projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor degree in graphic, art, industrial design or related field, experienced in imagery and texts set up
  • Skilled in Adobe illustration I/In design/Photoshop and Acrobat
  • Strong knowledge in color system and printing process
  • Skilled at estimating the cost of various design options and selecting the most cost- effective direction.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Effective Cross-team communication skill
  • Proactive and creative problem-solving skill
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of influencing others to successfully deliver results on time. Experience in collaborating with ODM/JDM partners, demonstrating resourcefulness and maintaining trust and credibility.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels, both written and verbal, in English and Chinese.
  • Bonus skills for Packaging structure design
