Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate Tool Coordinator (Variable Shifts) Level 2to join our Tool Coordinator team in Salt Lake City, Utah! The shifts available to work will be 1st and/or 2nd shift) (Operating hours for 1st shift: 6:45 am till 3:30 pm; Operating hours for 2nd shift 3:30 pm till 12 am).
The Tool Coordinator plays an important part in assessing manufacturing requirements and verifying customer requests. The selected candidate will work with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards. They will provide guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts. If any manufacturing issues arise, they will coordinate with support organizations to resolve efficiently.

Position Responsibilities:
Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests.
Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues.
Works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards.
Analyze tools for repair and/or service and determine what is needed to have the tool return into service.
Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts.
Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products.
Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements.
Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests.
Analyzes, procures, and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services.
Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules.
Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications.
Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products.
Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution.
Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory.
Works under limited supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
1+ years of experience with Material Management and Inventory Control
1+ years of experience working with powered hand tools
1+ years of experience working with any industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications & Products)
Must be willing to work variable shifts (1st/2nd)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience in CRIBMASTER and/or processes related to managing Tool Cribs and systems analysis
1+ years of experience working with hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment
1+ years data analytics experience (using Excel formulas and functions)
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically, 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g., Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
