Job Description

We are looking for a Pharmacist Assistant to join our Clinical Trials Division. In this role, you will support the safe and compliant handling of clinical trial supplies and pharmaceutical products within a warehouse environment.

What you will do

• Support end-to-end warehouse operations for clinical trial supplies

• Receive, store, handle and distribute pharmaceutical products

• Maintain accurate documentation and drug accountability records

• Ensure compliance with Good Pharmacy Practice and Good Wholesale Practice

• Support the handling of controlled substances where required

• Work with internal teams to investigate quality-related issues

• Participate in self-inspections and continuous improvement activities

• Follow all safety, quality and regulatory requirements

What we are looking for

• Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification

• Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

• Previous warehouse experience is required

• Experience in a clinical trial or pharmaceutical environment would be an advantage

• Knowledge of Good Pharmacy Practice and Good Wholesale Practice

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good planning, organization and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and occasional extended hours

Physical requirements

You should be able to:

• Lift and carry up to 20 kg

• Work in walk-in freezers or refrigerators

• Stand for extended periods

• Work in a warehouse environment

• Use required personal protective equipment
