BBST - BrazilBoeing Brazil is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer, with knowledge of Landing Gear and Mechanical Systems, reporting to the Structures Manager, working in São José dos Campos office.
The Senior Structural Analysis Engineer will join Boeing Structures team and will develop and provide support for the Landing Gear structure of Boeing commercial programs.
Position Responsibilities:
• Develop, integrate and document structural modifications on system and sub-system levels
• Guide product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components by using analytical methods, hand calculation, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to ensure safety, quality and performance of the product
• Participating in customers and other stakeholders’ communication to drive solutions that meet or exceed expectations
• Investigate root causes and customer’s reports and provide timely responses to the fleet events
• Define affected structural requirements, create certification reports (analysis or tests) to substantiate stress analysis results to be disclosed and approved by customers and regulatory agencies
• Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
• Must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering).
• Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
• In depth experience with Landing Gear structural analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
• Experience in structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method)
• Direct experience working with landing gear compliance demonstration for regulatory requirements (ANAC/FAA)
• Experience performing structural evaluations of non-conformance reports, fleet issues, and in repair design and substantiation
• Experience with elaboration of certification reports (static, fatigue, tests procedures, test results, etc)
• Knowledge of Aircraft Manuals, such as SRM, AMM, MRB, AIPC and other
• Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer, both domestically and internationally
• Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
