Position Title:                        Page One Supervisor

Department:                          Food & Beverage

Reports to:                             Food & Beverage Managers

Classification:                        Full-time, Non-Exempt

Compensation:                      $21.00 an hour

Position Summary:   Under supervision of the Food & Beverage Managers, this is a hands-on position that supervises the daily concession operation and special events for the Page One Café.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises all staff during the opening preparations, hours of service, and closing procedures for the cafe.
  • Assists management with enforcement of OCC/SMG policies and procedures.
  • Organizes the day's work and prepares to delegate tasks to staff at the start of each shift.
  • Inventories supplies on hand at the end of each daily event.
  • Inventories all concession items at the end of every month.
  • Reports any equipment repair and/or breakage to Food & Beverage Managers.
  • Verifies proper prices on menus and ensures those prices are programmed correctly in POS.
  • Monitors employees to ensure breaks are given and lunch when permitted.
  • Assists all staff with any necessary training, including cashiers on POS.
  • Oversees special event preparation and ensures client satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.
  • Helps to control labor costs and maximize efficient production of tasks.

Experience/Training/Education:

Required:   One to two years related work experience and/or training

                    Must be at least 18 years of age

Desirable:  Previous supervisory experience

License/Certificate:

None required

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

Knowledge of:

Concession operations

Ability to:

Follow directions and work efficiently

Skill to:

Operate modern office equipment, including, computer, phone, fax and copy machine

Physical and environmental Requirements:

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time; occasionally bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50-100 lbs will be required; may be subject to adverse conditions; irregular hours will be required.
