Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at Openpath. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative features for our software and web applications, building integrations, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with product management and engineering teams to guide system architecture, design, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new features for Openpath's software and web applications, enhancing the user experience and functionality.
  • Develop robust integrations with third-party platforms, providing comprehensive documentation, API, and SDK support.
  • Write and maintain unit tests, automated UI tests, and execute test plans to assure the highest quality standards of our products.
  • Collaborate with product management and leadership to prioritize development tasks and deliverables within sprint cycles.
  • Contribute to the growth and maturity of our app platform/marketplace, driving innovation and user engagement.
  • Create software tools for deployment, management, and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure, as well as monitor production software for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams to influence the overall system architecture and design, focusing on operational aspects such as deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize a diverse skill set to contribute to various aspects of the product portfolio in a fast-paced environment.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end quality and reliability of the system, ensuring a holistic view of the architecture's performance in production environments.


Basic Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of JavaScript development experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with NodeJS API frameworks, with a preference for HapiJS, and proficiency in Python.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with React.
  • Solid understanding of SQL data stores and relational data modeling.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design, threading, and resource management.
  • Demonstrated experience in building API-based integrations with cloud services such as G Suite, Microsoft Graph, Okta, OneLogin, Slack, etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS services including Serverless/Lambda, CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2/VPCs, Docker, DynamoDB, RDS, and monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Datadog.
  • Experience with log/data analysis pipelines, IoT concepts and protocols (e.g., MQTT), and backend services for mobile applications is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Linux fundamentals and command-line tools.
  • Comfortable working within agile development frameworks and accustomed to rapid iteration cycles.
