The Coordinator role is an individual contributor focused on managing commodities such as crude, sulfur, asphalt, butane, toluene, and other specialty products. This position involves creating and monitoring operational plans, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with leaders to develop strategies that maximize profits, ensure compliance, and optimize assets. Additionally, the Coordinator tracks performance metrics, drives continuous improvement, and remains available on-call 24/7 to address coordination needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and manages activities related to supply, incidents, resources, and product movements on behalf of Transport Planning and Scheduling Operations
  • Evaluates resource requirements necessary to meet objectives and secures additional resources as necessary to ensure success.
  • Creates and monitors operational plans to ensure contractual obligations are met, confirms proper execution, tracks performance metrics related to such plans, and provides updates to stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems related to coordination responsibilities and completes all required documentation and data collection required for proper processing  
  • Provides solutions and support to Scheduling and Fleet Operations to execute organizational strategies and operational priorities.
  • Works collaboratively with operational leaders to develop strategies and operational plans that maximize MPC profits, meet compliance requirements, reduce costs, optimize assets, and ensure reliable performance
  • Tracks and reports on operational and financial metrics and consults with business units to achieve operational objectives by leveraging data and recommending solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the operational efficiencies and drives continuous improvement across area of responsibility.
  • Remains available on-call 24/7/365 to resolve needs related to coordination responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other business-related function is preferred
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or petroleum industry experience preferred
• P1 - < 2 years related experience
• P2 – 2 years related experience
• P3 – 4 years related experience
