Job Purpose Summary:

  • The intermediary person between business and Group Human Resource, who implement and manages end-to-end human resource strategies and initiatives besides day-to-day activities.

  • Plan and execute recruitment activities including placing job advertisements, resume screening, candidates short listing and interviewing to support manpower needs in line with the Bank and business objectives.

  • Responds effectively to fast changing market environment and Bank’s demands for people with innovative recruitment programs.

  • To guide the line Managers in identifying successor/talent selection process and manage career development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1) Involvement in Business Planning.  The HRBP is expected to understand the function business direction:

  • Contribute to business strategy by supporting the business line in identifying, prioritizing and building people capabilities, structure and improve processes.

2) Workforce Management (include manpower management and recruitment).  The HRBP is responsible for the governance of manpower set out by the approved budget and provide the approved justifications for exceptions when required.

  • Guide line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirement in line with the function / business strategy. Highlight and where appropriate recommend solutions to address any resulting issues. 

  • Establish the line’s manpower issues and needs and make timely recommendation to address the issues.

  • Advise the line on headcount management within the allocated budget.

  • Perform Hiring, Transfer and Exits activities.

  • Establish the sourcing strategies for cost effectiveness of the hiring process and be accountable for vacancy fulfillment.

  • Conduct joint interview with the line where possible to ensuring the right candidate for the right position.

  • Assist line in defining the position requirements and core competency requirements and performance management of the position.

3)Talent & Staff Development Management.  The HRBP will be required to have the first-hand knowledge of who are the talents within their function and partner with the Head of HRBP / Head of Talent Management for driving management of talent development with the Head of Department.

  • Guide the line manager in successor/talent selection process, if any.

  • Guide the line managers and staff on managing career development methodologies. 

4) Change Management. The HRBP is responsible for identifying issues and work with the line managers and Centre of Expertise whether anticipatory or antecedent that require change management interventions resulting from organizational / unit, policy people changes, etc.

  • Provide guidance to line manager in understanding the need for change, identify the change requirements and to support continuous improvement.

  • Undertake ad-hoc functional or cross functional change management projects, where assigned.

  • Support change initiative that affect the business and advice on people management aspect.

  • Support culture and team buildings for the functions/areas.
