Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with different teams to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. The engineer applies modern development frameworks and follows agile methodologies to build scalable and efficient solutions. Collaboration and continuous enhancement of software components are key aspects of the daily routine, ensuring that the final product aligns with organizational goals and user expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Tosca Administration SME, providing expert guidance on Tosca architecture, configuration, and best practices.
- Manage and maintain Tosca environments, including Tosca Server, DEX, TC-Shell, and related components.
- Oversee and execute Tosca upgrades, patch installations, and compatibility validations across environments.
- Perform repository maintenance, including workspace management, cleanup, versioning, and resolving check in/check out conflicts.
- Lead technical debugging efforts for issues related to execution, integration, performance, and environment stability.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (SAP, API, DB, DevOps, Infra, QA) to ensure seamless integration and smooth test execution.
- Provide solutions and recommendations for environment optimization, scalability, and reliability.
- Drive process improvements to enhance automation stability, environment uptime, and team productivity.
- Support team members on Tosca administration, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tosca Testsuite with strong hands on experience in Tosca Administration.
- Minimum 5–6 years of Tosca experience and 7–8 years of overall testing experience.
- Certification such as Tosca Product Consultant, Automation Specialist Level 1 (TA1) or equivalent.
- Expertise in Tosca Server administration, including upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of repository management, workspace synchronization, and version control within Tosca.
- Experience with SAP, API, and database testing concepts to support integration and environment setup.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues across multiple layers (Tosca, infrastructure, integrations).
- Familiarity with system, integration, and regression testing practices.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work across multiple teams.


Additional Information:
- Experience in Utilities domain will be an added advantage
- AE2 will be a plus
