Job Title: Defensive Security Intern

Our Information Security team are responsible for ensuring that Sun Life information is protected and to maintain operational stability from cyber threats with team members located in Waterford and around the globe. Overview of what we do:

Our Information Security Analysts are part of the Information Security – Defensive blue team, who provide a wide range of services in the Information Security space. From one day to the next you could be investigating malware, responding to unapproved software, monitoring suspicious user behaviour, etc

Responsibilities/tasks:

As an Defensive Security Intern:

You will be tasked with participating in the below high-level services

• Initial triaging of all alerts generated to Investigations Team.
• Working within various Security technologies (EDR, SIEM, IDS)  
• Reporting and presenting data surrounding true positive alerts
• Partaking in Daily and weekly call
• Partaking in various Project work
• Potentially meeting and working with external vendors
