We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Sales professional to join our product specialist team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by marketing and distributing a wide range of credit products to institutional clients in onshore China. This role requires a deep understanding of both local and cross-border credit markets, a strong existing network of client relationships, and a proven track record of success in a competitive sales environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the bigger sales team to develop Citi's spread products franchise across Asia.
  • Execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand our client base in onshore China.
  • Market a comprehensive suite of credit products, including but not limited to corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, and other structured credit instruments.
  • Originate and maintain strong relationships with key institutional clients, including asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, and banks.
  • Provide clients with insightful market commentary, trade ideas, and product analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with internal trading, research, and structuring teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from trade inception and execution to settlement.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the credit markets in China.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a credit sales or related role at a reputable financial institution.
  • Demonstrable and established client relationships with key institutional accounts in onshore China.
  • Strong product knowledge across a variety of local (onshore) credit products as well as cross-border credit instruments.
  • Proven ability to generate revenue and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
