We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to join our Epredia team and support the optimization of manufacturing processes. In this role, you will assist with process improvements, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Location: Onsite Portsmouth, NH

What you will be doing:

  • Will own technical functions of full value streams or portions of value streams as assigned.
  • Assist in the development of a safe working environment using occupational safety and health standards, including ergonomic principles.
  • Design and execute Validation and/or Qualification exercises.
  • Support investigations in product quality problems, determines root cause, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives per CI tools.
  • Provide support and own tasks as needed for New Product Introduction.
  • Provide support and own tasks as needed for Change Control of Legacy Products.
  • Ensuring existing processes and equipment fully comply with QMS and CGMP requirements.
  • Conduct capacity studies, enhance system reliability, and identify/implement productivity improvements including new technologies.
  • Develop/maintain improvement plans for systems.
  • Serve as a technical liaison for all levels of the company including production/maintenance employees, plant technical and management resources, marketing, R&D organizations, customers, and other business sites.
  • Design and fabrication of jigs, tools, fixtures, gages, and special equipment.
  • Actively participate in definition of quality requirements, justification of acceptance limits and sampling plans to assure compliance with requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement. Recommend solutions to identified problems. Implement approved changes using sound engineering principles and fully document requirements on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Operations to Identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies.

Skills you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant Engineering Discipline. (Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical or Electrical preferred)
  • Internship or other formal experience in a technical role within an industrial manufacturing setting. Preferred experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Mid to Advanced computer skills, Windows Suite, CAD, Graphic design.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to understand and apply general engineering principles.
