We’re looking for a strategic, thoughtful, experienced Senior People Business Partner to collaborate with our G&A teams. The Impact You’ll Make

Reporting to the Head of People Business Partners,  you’ll partner closely with our Head of People, Chief Financial Officer, and General Counsel and their leadership teams. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Partner with executive leaders, provide thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution
  • Coach all levels of managers on people strategy including organizational design, hiring, performance management, compensation, recognition, and learning and development
  • Achieve a deep understanding of the business strategy, goals and objectives, and support organizational changes by developing and implementing appropriate change management plans
  • Contribute to the development of, and lead business groups through, Nextdoor’s People programs (engagement surveys, performance feedback cycles, compensation reviews, talent development, etc.)
  • Conduct employee relations investigations as needed. Be an impartial steward for the organization advocating for employees and the business, and modeling company values
  • Guide and coach managers on how to appropriately manage and resolve complex people issues
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Promote a culture of feedback and transparent communication, reinforcing our mission and core values
  • Program manage our people programs leading cross-functional initiatives from planning and execution to tracking and evaluation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify program needs, define goals, and ensure seamless implementation
  • Establish project management frameworks to drive efficiency in People initiatives and organizational change efforts
  • Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback, continuously optimizing for impact
  • Overseeing employee engagement initiatives, including surveys and recognition programs, to promote a positive and inclusive workplace
  • Provide support for People learning and growth initiatives, including logistical and system support for workshops and training programs

What You’ll Bring To The Team:

  • 10+ years experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a fast-growing technology company
  • Experience partnering with C-suite executives, ideally working across functions
  • A collaborative, thoughtful mindset, capable of multitasking across strategic and operational/tactical responsibilities
  • Ability to influence all levels of managers, think creatively and work collaboratively to develop and execute people programs
  • Ability to think critically and anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest long-term solutions
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company, managers and employees
  • Unquestioned integrity and a confident presence to effectively resolve sensitive employee issue
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving open, constructive feedback respectfully
  • Previous experience leading or partnering on organizational design and change management planning

Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create one overall rewards package.

The starting base salary for this role is expected to range from $170,000 - $220,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.

We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.

Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
