Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Assists in the removal of released merchandise by pulling and staging pallets sold to associate Store; confirming that merchandise shipped is accounted for and sent to associate Store; and destroying damaged merchandise that cannot be sold.
Provides customer service to suppliers, buyers, and associates by assisting suppliers with deliveries at the drop-off door; assisting suppliers with finding lost merchandise; researching merchandise incorrectly sent to Layout Center; researching claims and lost freight already sent to Layout Center; following up with suppliers picking up or shipping samples; and answering questions concerning Layout Center shipping policies and procedures.
Provides customer service to suppliers, buyers, and associates by building and tearing down fixtures; assisting with necessary fixtures to conduct line reviews for merchandise sales proposals; maintaining proper signing on steel; assisting suppliers with finding lost merchandise and fixtures; answering questions concerning Layout Center policies and procedures; and assisting associates with tasks and projects.
Provides customer service to suppliers, buyers, and associates by building and tearing down fixtures; assisting with preparation of necessary fixtures to conduct line reviews for merchandise sales proposals; maintaining proper signage on steel; assisting suppliers with locating lost merchandise and fixtures; answering questions concerning Layout Center policies and procedures; and assisting associates with tasks and projects.
Maintains safety and security of floor area by following all safety compliance procedures; operating power equipment, forklifts, and pallet riders; maintaining awareness of suppliers entering locations outside of their designated areas; and informing management on issues.
Maintains clean work area by conducting upkeep on counters and fixtures throughout the facility; informing suppliers of correct procedures for disposal or recycling of cardboard and trash; bailing cardboard and plastic; recycling cans, plastic, and paper according to company policies and procedures; performing general housekeeping duties (for example, organizing, sweeping, operating floor scrubbers, removing trash); maintaining supplies for area (for example, screwdrivers, hammers, tape); clearing aisles for buyer walk-through; and ensuring pallets are wrapped and slotted in proper location.
Maintains safety and security of shipping and receiving area by ensuring compliance with safety compliance policies and procedures; operating power equipment; and preventing suppliers from entering the Layout Center through the receiving area and directing them instead to the receptionist.
Maintains work area by bailing cardboard and plastic; calling for pickup of cardboard and plastic bails; recycling cans, plastic, and paper according to company policies and procedures; and performing general housekeeping duties such as organizing items, sweeping, operating floor scrubbers, and removing trash.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00-$28.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
