Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Directs and guides members managers and hourly associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques by modeling excellent customer service (for example, tour to teach). Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved according to company guidelines and standards. Builds relationships with associates to ensure proper feedback. Answers questions or provides information to customers and associates.

Drives and ensures the financial performance of the facility by confirming that budgeted sales, wages, and other expenses are achieved. Assists the store manager in leading the management team in controlling expenses and wages to ensure expenses are indexed to sales. Creates and implements plans to improve the financial performance of the facility. Creates budgets to align with business needs. Analyzes economic trends and community needs for budget forecasting.

Participates in community outreach programs and encourages and supports associates in serving as good members of the community by establishing and maintaining relationships with key individuals or groups in the community. Serves as a representative for the company in the community. Presents the company's perspective to various external organizations by following the company's media guidelines. Promotes company- sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts to associates and the local community to emphasize the facility as part of the community.

Directs facility operations by setting the standard for appropriate service levels. Teaches and develops effective merchandise presentation (for example, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, maintaining in-stock and inventory levels, requesting merchandise to meet the needs of the community). Provides direction and guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives. Ensures quality assurance standards. Oversees safety and operational reviews.

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Provides input into the analysis of business issues negatively affecting Associate health and well-being, and contributes to the development of programs to eliminate or minimize their impact. Communicates the importance and value of Associate engagement through personal example, clear direction, and appropriate reinforcement. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$100,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

1 year’s general management experience in role with financial accountability.

Option 1: 1 year’s experience in retail and 1 year’s experience supervising ten or more associates/employees. Option 2: 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s experience supervising ten or more associates/employees.

For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.

For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
