PURPOSE
The Sales Manager, South Korea is a player-manager role responsible for driving commercial performance across all market segments in South Korea, including corporate, law firm, academic, and public sector clients. The role combines individual sales responsibility with team leadership and serves as the commercial lead for the South Korean market. The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sustainable business growth, developing high-performing talent, and supporting the adoption of AI-powered solutions across the team and customer base.
Revenue & Business Ownership
• Achieve individual and team revenue targets across all market segments, including corporate legal & compliance, law firms, academic institutions, and government/public sector organisations
• Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
• Drive market expansion and strengthen LexisNexis’ position as a leading provider of legal, regulatory, and compliance solutions in South Korea
• Develop and execute account growth strategies for key customers and strategic prospects
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals (target team size: 3–6)
• Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance and development discussions
• Support succession planning and talent development within the South Korea team
• Analyse business wins and losses to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Strategy & Business Planning
• Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with North Asia business objectives
• Provide regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline health, forecasting, and market trends
• Partner with North Asia leadership to support regional initiatives and strategic planning activities
• Monitor competitor activity and market developments within the South Korea legal technology and information services landscape
AI Adoption & Innovation
• Promote the adoption of AI-enabled solutions, including LexisNexis Protégé AI and Lexis+ AI
• Support customers in understanding the value and practical application of AI solutions within legal and compliance workflows
• Encourage AI fluency and best practices across the sales team to improve productivity and customer engagement
• Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends relevant to the legal and compliance industry
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, strategic prospects, and industry stakeholders
• Develop a strong network across South Korea’s legal, compliance, academic, and corporate communities
• Represent LexisNexis at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements
• Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to maximise customer retention and product adoption
Operational Excellence & Compliance
• Maintain accurate and timely CRM records (Salesforce.com) to support forecasting and business reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and ethical business standards
Required
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 2 years in a people leadership or team management role
• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Strong consultative selling and stakeholder management skills
• Native-level Korean and business-level English
• Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales reporting tools
Preferred
• Familiarity with the South Korea legal technology market (e.g. LBox, Law&Company, LAWnB, Westlaw Korea)
• Understanding of legal, compliance, risk, or regulatory functions within corporate or financial services environments
• Experience selling into academic institutions or public sector organisations
• Existing network within South Korea’s legal, compliance, or corporate sectors
