Receives and distributes incoming shipments and ships outgoing materials consistent with considerations of quality, service, and company policy and procedure
Receives incoming purchased products and research materials, distribute the incoming products and materials, and make the corresponding entries in PeopleSoft to document receipt
Properly classifies and ships materials, consistent with federal, state, and local requirements
Maintains shipping and receiving programs in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley / 404 requirements
Provides management with information with regard to shipping and receiving trends, costs, and new opportunities
Maintains in-house stock inventory at planned levels
Participates in miscellaneous Operations department activities including, but not limited to: environmental health and safety, asset management, and chemical inventory
High School Diploma / Associates degree and no related experience required
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
Proficient in standard Shipping and Receiving procedures and practices
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Develops skills to perform basic activities in own job
Learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
