Job Summary:

Responsible for filling and delivering requisitions to appropriate locations and assisting with ordering and inventory control while utilizing proper food handling/storage techniques. Works actively to provide for the needs of the patients with the understanding that diets change, and the workload will be variable with limited time to address changes in orders during service. Understands and respects the needs of the ambassadors as they work their assigned floors and responds quickly to the changing needs of the patients.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

1.  Understands and demonstrates correct procedures for the receiving of product. Practices FIFO (first in first out) process of product rotation. Cleans and organizes work area and maintains a safe work environment.

Uses correct equipment (carts, pallet jack, hand-trucks) while performing required duties. Practices safe lifting and uses PPE’s where applicable.

2.  Shows willingness to work with others and to pick up additional responsibilities as staffing or patient census require. It is the responsibility of all employees to develop a sense of urgency around their job requirements

to fulfill our mission of delivering on PFCC (patient and family centered care).

3.  Possesses the required knowledge in the care and handling of patients served in age groups. Age specific competency test: infant- 29 days to one year; pediatrics- one year to 13 years; adolescent- 14 years to 19

years; adult- 18 years to 65 years; geriatric- 65 years and above.

4.  Arrives for scheduled shifts on time and ready for the day’s production requirements. Follows all recipes and documents temperature on correct HACCP logs. Stocks and organizes production area, shared cooler space, and dry storage areas for the next shift and the following day’s production

Required Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Required Minimum Experience:

1 year or more in warehouse/stocking
