Position Overview: Analog Devices is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Government Affairs Manager to join our growing Global Government Affairs and Trade Team as a state and local government specialist. The Government Affairs Manager will support our state and local government relations efforts, with a focus on engagement in the states of Oregon, Washington, California, and other states where ADI has a large presence. The ideal candidate will bring strong relationship management and interpersonal skills and a strong record of impact in previous government, advocacy, or public policy-focused roles.
The Government Affairs Manager will oversee a specific portfolio of issues in the states where ADI operates, including environmental policy and regulations, cybersecurity and privacy laws, workforce development, tax and incentives policy, and other state-level policy areas. Based on the legislative agenda and business needs, additional policy matters may be added or modified.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of government affairs strategies and initiatives
Monitor and analyze state legislative and regulatory developments that impact the organization and provide regular updates to senior management
Identify and execute on partnership opportunities to advance ADI’s community engagement and collaboration with organizations in US states where we have a significant footprint
Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences
Coordinate and attend meetings with government officials, industry groups, and other stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams at ADI to align state and local government affairs activities with business objectives
Conduct research on policy issues and provide recommendations to senior management
Required Skills And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field
Minimum of four years of experience in state government or in state-focused public policy or public affairs roles
Strong understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and research skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of semiconductor industry-specific regulations and policies
Experience working on state and local policy issues in the Pacific Northwest and/or California
Advanced degree in a related field
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree, advanced degree preferred
Travel Required: Yes, 25% of the time

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
