A Day in the Life

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our Energy Solutions team in Mexico. The Energy Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting Prologis’s Mexico Energy Solutions initiatives across multiple workstreams. This role is responsible for conducting quantitative analyses for distributed solar, on-site generation, electromobility, and battery storage, as well as performing strategic and market analyses for new opportunities. The Energy Associate will also manage third-party vendors and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Prologis and support sales efforts with customers.

Key Responsibilities

Quantitative Analysis for Energy Solutions Investments

• Develop and maintain financial models and analyses to assess the performance of assets under construction and in operation, forecast revenues, and evaluate multiple revenue streams.
• Contribute to commercial efforts through quantitative analyses that translate into closed contracts with customers. Prepare scenarios and presentations.
• Conduct market research to identify investment opportunities in solar energy, energy storage, on-site generation, electromobility, and sustainability solutions.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and regulatory changes impacting Prologis’s energy asset portfolio.
• Apply advanced analytics to improve operational strategies and enhance asset performance.
• Align reporting and analytical outputs with business objectives in collaboration with IT and internal and external stakeholders.

Project Execution

• Lead and coordinate with third-party vendors to develop analyses and reports that support strategic decision-making for Prologis’s Energy Solutions team.
• Support commercial efforts from project origination to closed deals.
• Learn, adopt, and effectively utilize Prologis’s project execution and project management IT tools.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on business objectives and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Building Blocks for Success

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial modeling and renewable energy market analysis.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
