Job Title: Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician
Grade: £18.87- £19.66 (depending on experience)
Location: Shrewsbury

Job Summary
The maintenance department is responsible for continually improving the availability of facility production equipment. Significant investment in people and equipment over recent years has led to a motivated and highly engaged team delivering excellent results using modern technology and maintenance techniques.
The Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician role maintains and develops facility availability and uptime using tools such as TPM and fault analysis. In the role you will fault find on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits or mechanical systems. You will be involved with equipment calibration, working to a planned preventative maintenance schedule, and liaising with the manufacturing departments to maximise equipment availability
A role within our Maintenance team will provide you with the opportunity to work with many leading brands in manufacturing technology such as: Heller, Okuma, Yamazaki Mazak, Harry Major
What You Will Do:
Fault find on electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical systems
Work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule
React quickly to breakdowns and liaise effectively with local leadership and affected parties.
Use of mobile device to manage work orders assigned to yourself.
Liaise with the Production & Engineering Depts. to ensure equipment availability
Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
Must ensure that safe working practices are followed. Able to create appropriate Risk Assessments and ensure they are adhered to
Investigate quality issues relating to machines in a logical and structured manner
Verbally report & document daily issues for handover
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
NVQ Level 3 / Time served Apprentice in Maintenance Engineering, equivalent qualifications in Mechatronics or demonstrable skills from experience.
Electrical installation and troubleshooting experience.
Experience of PLC systems, fault finding & diagnostics
Knowledge of CNC, hydraulic & pneumatic machine control systems
Some experience of all Mechanical aspects of Machinery & Equipment (e.g motors, gearboxes etc.)
Ability to read electrical, fluid system and mechanical drawings
Experience in site infrastructure maintenance
Self-motivated and comfortable to work with limited supervision
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Recognised forklift license, MEWP license, and crane experience.
Experience of working within a Manufacturing environment
IT Skills to use Microsoft 365 suite of software and Agility application.
Additional Information:
Day Shift: 37 hours per week, 4 days. Mon-Thur 7:30am – 5:15pm
Paid overtime when required
