Your New Role and Responsibilities

The Australian Growth Office Team leads the strategy, engagement and customer touchpoints from early Win Plan development through to proposal submission and continues to support contract growth strategies post-award. They play a key role in building market awareness of Leidos’ capabilities and achievements, while partnering across the business to support broader growth objectives.

The Capture Manager is responsible for business development for Leidos products and services in Australia, focusing on Australian Federal Government agencies to identify, qualify and capture new business opportunities and collaborate with the business area for growth in the region. This is a role that will see you engaged across all parts of Leidos. Specific tasks include (are not limited to): 

  • Identify, qualify and capture new business opportunities for Leidos, this may have a specific focus on ICT and Digital Modernisation. 
  • Execute the Company’s business capture management processes. 
  • Coordinate customer relationships critical to new business development including partnership development. 
  • Establish and maintain enduring, inclusive relationships and communication with key Federal Government stakeholders (Service Headquarters, Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group, CIO Group, Joint Capabilities Group etc.) at appropriate levels to qualify and grow the Defence business. 
  • Lead to Request for Tender responses. 
  • Provide input into current and long-range business strategies to enhance the Company’s position in Australia. 

What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact 

In addition to your outstanding stakeholder management skills, it is desirable that you will have the following skills and experience:

  • An understanding of Federal Government Procurement policies and processes 
  • An understanding of contemporary domain solutions 
  • Prior Capture experience or working as part of a Complex and large Capture Team  
  • Strong leadership and communication skills 
  • Demonstrated access to key government customers, stakeholders and industry partners 
  • People leader experience and experience in building and growing industry teams 
  • Assessing win probability, executing customer plans to shape acquisitions to respond and win 
  • Ability to use automated tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, information, and reports and a customer relationship management to track opportunities and manage pipeline. 
  • Ability to embrace AI technology to enhance and streamline outputs 

You must be able to demonstrate your ability to collaborate and network with senior stakeholders and enjoy engaging with people. Good communications skills will be expected. This role will be well suited to someone who is passionate about contributing to the success of a company and important customer missions.
