Position Highlights:

  • Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full Time, 30 hours/week
  • Hours: 3:00pm-3:30am
  • Rotating weekends

What you will need:

  • The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of four years of high school
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, Paramedic, Nursing student with six months of clinical, certified EMT with at least one year of field experience (field experience can be waived for NCH employees currently working in a patient care area) and Emergency Department Technicians with at least two years current experience in a comparable institution
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association

General Summary:

Reporting to the PACC Manager, maintains responsibility for assisting and supporting the Emergency Department and Treatment Center Nursing and Medical staff in the delivery of patient care.  Under RN supervision, provides direct patient care; performs technical and medical procedures that are not governed by licensure.  May assist in directing unit environmental aide to ensure supply availability or perform clerical, stocking, and cleaning functions as required.
