Frazer-Nash are a leading engineering, systems and technology consultancy. Through our meaningful innovations, our experts help organisations make lives safe, secure, sustainable and affordable.
In a nutshell, engineering consultancy is all about providing advice to positively impact our clients’ projects and businesses and the wider world around us.
What We Do in Consulting?

Our people join us to make an impact on the world and to learn from some of the best minds in the industry.
Our people stay with us because they value our highly diverse team environment and the career opportunities provided by our sustained growth.
Why Frazer-Nash?
As a graduate, you will typically be working on multiple projects simultaneously, managing your time and rapidly accruing a wealth of experience and skills. Hence, no two days in Frazer-Nash will be the same.
You will be surrounded by experts not just in your team, but also in a wide range of other fields – whether it’s nuclear, digital, fusion, space or human sciences, we’re an interesting bunch.
We have a comprehensive Early Careers package that will help you successfully integrate into our business and meet new colleagues from across the organisation – last year we had over 100 Graduates, interns and summer placements and we are looking for a similar sized cohort this year so you will be joining with a large and vibrant peer group.
Clear career pathways with appropriate financial rewards will help you to develop and nurture your potential as you grow within your role, leading to exciting future career prospects, professional recognition and promotion.
The Role
This role sits within our submarine-focused team based at Royal William Yard in Plymouth, bringing together a wide range of engineering expertise. You’ll play an integral part in the team while being supported to develop your skills in areas that best match your interests.
You’ll gain experience across the full project lifecycle (CADMID), from early design and assessment through to in-service support and eventual disposal. This could include solving real-time operational challenges, supporting build and maintenance activities, and helping address complex ageing and material issues as submarines reach the end of their design life.
You may work across submarine structures, systems and components (including combat systems), as well as naval reactor plants and the facilities used to maintain them. There are also opportunities to contribute to safety case development and through-life safety management.
Recent work has included AUKUS, exploring future submarine noise reduction, assessing materials for long-term use in harsh marine environments, supporting MOD safety analysis in extreme conditions, and contributing to the development of future and current submarine critical naval infrastructure and documentation.
Your input to such projects won’t be a ‘light touch’ you’ll be rolling your sleeves up and getting immersed fully in the project, not watching from the sidelines!
As part of our early careers programme, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of projects and business areas, helping you explore both technical and leadership career paths. From day one, you’ll take on meaningful responsibility within project teams and engage with clients.
There may also be opportunities to travel across the UK and internationally, including site visits, networking events, and industry conferences.
